Freezly ("the app", "we", "our") is a mobile application for managing food products stored in home freezers, developed and operated by an individual developer. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information.
Freezly does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. The app works fully offline, with one exception described in the "Diagnostics and Crash Reporting" section below:
To keep the app stable and fix problems, Freezly uses Sentry (provided by Functional Software, Inc.) to collect anonymous crash reports and diagnostic data when the app encounters an error or unexpected behavior. This may include the error type and technical stack trace, device model, operating system version, and app version.
This diagnostic data is not linked to your identity, does not include your IP address, your personal information, or the contents you store in the app (freezer names, product names, or photos), and is not used for tracking or advertising. It is used solely to detect, diagnose, and fix technical problems. You can review Sentry's own privacy practices at https://sentry.io/privacy/.
If you attach a photo to a product or freezer using your camera or photo library, that photo is saved only in the app's local storage on your device. It is never uploaded anywhere.
The app lets you export your data (freezers, products, and photos) into a single archive file, and later restore it. This archive is created on your device and handed to the operating system's native share sheet — you choose where it is saved or sent (for example, Files, iCloud Drive, AirDrop, or a messaging app). Freezly itself does not upload this archive anywhere.
Freezly does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children. The only data collected is anonymous crash diagnostics that is not linked to any individual.
Freezly may in the future introduce optional cloud-sync features for paid subscribers, allowing your data to be backed up and synced across your devices. Such features would require creating an account and would involve transmitting your data to a secure cloud service. If and when this happens, this Privacy Policy will be updated in advance to describe exactly what data would be collected and how it would be used, and the feature will remain optional.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
